Dink Ke Laddu aka Gond Ke Laddoo – The Perfect Dessert For the Winters!

The winters are here and so is my granny – A perfect time for the family get together, gossips, and of course a time to relish the favorite food and desserts! While, throughout the year we love munching the desserts cooked by my mom, the moment my granny is at home we cannot stop but nag her constantly to prepare the Dink Ke Laddu aka Gond Ke Laddoo.

Sweet and very delicious, it is one of my favorite Indian desserts. Interestingly, it is also quite healthy. So, nobody can actually raise their eyebrows when you eat 2 laddoos instead of just one. However, being on a diet (particularly sugar free) I decided not to bug my granny to prepare my beloved Dink Ke Laddu but she never fails to surprise me. Well, she actually prepared the Dink Ke Laddu popularly known as Gond Ke Laddoo by the all new Sugarfree Natura.

Here, I share the recipe of Gond Ke Laddu / Dink Ke Laddu post my Granny Announced that she has an Alternative for my Diet as well as sweet tooth

Ingredients for 15 Laddoos:

Gond 200 gm

Wheat Flour 100 gm

Ghee 250 gm

Sugar Free Natura 200 gm

Dry Fruits – We used Almond, Cashew nut, Walnut, Pista,

Khas khas

Coconut Dry (sliced) 100 gm

Method – How to Prepare Dink Ke Laddu / Gond Ke Laddu:

Tip – If the pieces of Gond are large in size the n break it into smaller pieces.

Add ghee in the kadai (pan) and heat it. Pour the gaund in the heated ghee.  The pieces will puff up like popcorn. Further, heat it in low flame so that the dink is cooked thoroughly even from the inside. Take it out and keep aside to cool.

In the same ghee, now add all the dry fruits that you want in the laddoo and heat in low flame for few minutes.

Roast the coconut as well

Next, remove the dry fruits and pour the wheat flour and khaskhas in the kadai and heat it till it turns slightly brown. Make sure you stir it continuously.

Mix the Sugarfree Natura, fried dry fruits, dink and the roasted wheat flour in the kadai or a big bowl. Make sure you fuse the mixture quite well so that the sugar spreads equally throughout the mixture of gaund, dry fruits and the flour. The measure of the Sugar Free Natura is same as that of the powdered sugar you add normally Yes, cheeni jaisa naap, cheeni jaisa swaad.

Now take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a round ball to get the desired Gaund Ke Laddu. You can also make Gaund Ke Barfi if you wish too instead of making the laddoos.

Eat it right then and store the rest in air tight container.

Well, this recipe made up by my Granny not just satisfied my sweet tooth but also ensured that my sugar free diet remains active and alive.

Gond Ke Laddu or Dink Ke Laddu is even given to ladies after the delivery so that the body of the nursing mother recovers fast. Since, the laddu has lot of nutritional values it is often consumed with milk in the breakfast during the winters to produce heat in the body.

Top 3 Hotels in Mumbai To Relax, sit back & enjoy a well-deserved Vacation!

Often in Mumbai, we Mumbaikars after a week full of travelling to our work via local trains, and BEST buses drain by the time it is weekend. No wonder every Friday we do wish to get away from the daily hustle of our life and escape for a day to some luxurious hotel in our city.

I’m sure we all have thought about it sometime or the other. With me, I keep on day dreaming of spending some great time in the lavish hotels of Mumbai if at least for a single day. Here are the 3 Hotels in my bucket list for a lazy day to feel like a Queen:

Hotel Taj, Mumbai

If you are a 90s kid you know what HOTEL TAJ really is! It was only a single 5 star Hotel we kids knew about. In fact, 5 star meant Taj just like Toothpaste was synonymous to Coalgate and Biscuit was Parle G. Ever since then I have been dreaming to spend a day there.

Well, my ideal day would be staying at one of the Tower Rooms in Taj Mahal Palace where I can feel the comfort and forget all the hustle bustle of the city which usually disturbs everything. I would definitely visit the famous Harbour Bar to chill out at the end of a tiring day while rest of the day I’ll eat out from various restaurants in the hotel.

Now since Taj Mahal Palace is one of the finest hotels in India and Mumbai, I would want to experience the refined architecture, inimitable comfort, classy amenities and a superior service and hospitality so that I sit back and spend my day in the palace like a modern day queen having nothing to do except enjoy the pleasure of staying in Taj right opposite the Gate Way of India.

The Lalit, Mumbai

Having been to The Lalit for more than 3 times for seminars and conference, I have often wondered how comfy the stay would be if I just take a room and spend a day inside. I would surely relax in Rejuve – The Spa and enjoy food and drink across the globe. No wonder, the Lalit has some of the best multi-cuisine restaurants in house including WOOKS, Baluchi and 24/7. Besides, how can I miss the nightlife at Trendz to enjoy some fusion cuisine and Mumbai’s nightlife culture. Sutra Lounge Bar is something which I have been dying to visit from long.

JW Marriott Hotel, Mumbai

I really cannot own a sea facing house in Mumbai but can definitely spend a day by a sea facing room in a luxury hotel. This is the reason why I’m always attracted to any sea face hotel and in Mumbai nothing can beat the Juhu JW Marriott known for its classy rooms that offers luxury at a great price.

Interestingly, at JW Marriott I would love to relax at the outdoor pools, get lazy and the award winning spa and then have fun at the nightclub Enigma.

The Joy of Real Togetherness – Come Let Us Look Beyond Ourselves

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. ~Henry Ford

This is an old progressive quote by Henry Ford. However, it seems the quote is only used in board rooms these days to motivate workers. Yes, the people who use this quote in the work space are seen staying aloof in their living rooms. Worst, they don’t even have time to see the changes in their partner, siblings, parents or their own kids. Forget being together they are not even close. Nobody has time to look beyond themselves.

This is not Togetherness….

Real Togetherness Means Standing for Each Other even if we are Strangers

Now a days we often come across people sharing videos on humanity on social media especially Facebook. I come across one on a daily basis where I see a little boy buys a slipper for a needy old man with his pocket money, a young bloke gives Rs. 4000 to an old vendor (his monthly income) simply because he thinks his passion of ‘Not to Give Up’ deserves a reward. Share a Smile, Share Happiness has become the new mantra in this fast paced world. However, though these videos get viral not many follow the lessons with the same enthusiasm with which they share on social media.

For me real togetherness is being with the needy and aiding them like one’s own family members. Then whether the needy is a poor boy who not just need food but also education or a rape/acid victim who needs your support to fight back the gender intolerance.

Interestingly, even Nature Helps us to Do Something Together if we Intent to

My nephew and niece are two notorious kids who cannot stop fighting with each other. Moreover, when they play with other kids our house become a big fish market where almost every kid yell in anger or cry in pain. However, a nest in the balcony of our living room changes everything for good.

Yes, a pigeon gave two eggs in our balcony in a hay like thing. It was not a proper nest and the kids were concerned for the baby pigeons that laid inside the eggs. Then began their conquest to keep the eggs safe, not just from outside world but also from the crow’s eye. They ensured that each of the kid’s keep an eye on the eggs and when the kids went to school, my sister and her neighbors ensured they kept an eye on them. This way not just the kids even the elder ones got together.

The real life incident got fresh in my eyes the moment I saw this beautiful video of Kissan which showcases the real story.

No wonder, Kissan feels that it is high time that we free ourselves from the bonds of technology to enjoy the real relationship between our kins and the real world.

Khul Jaye Bachpan At Its Best When Parents Become Buddy Parents

Parenting is not that easy. Becoming too harsh will make them rebel and becoming too lenient would make them sit you on your head. In such circumstances, the best way to deal with them is by being their buddy. Yes, only a buddy parent can guide the tiny tots and make learning easy and playful.

While, I’m still not a parent, I have seen how my sister a mother of a 7 year old kid has been a buddy parent over the years. Here are few instances, “The Khushi Ke Pal” Between my sister (parent) and my nephew (child).

When She Taught Him the Magic of Science, and He Taught Him a New Regional Language – “Kannada”

Observing scientists experimenting in the labs while watching cartoons, my nephew gets excited about science and the so called experiments, wondering how such things would be possible. Watching her son’s curiosity and interest in these experiments, my sister and his mom thought of showing him the basic experiments which is possible right at the comfort of home.

Next, she announced that they will together build a lab in the house and carry out similar experiments in the house. Fully excited my nephew geared up for the event and even shared the news with his dad, asking him the details. His dad revealed things that only excited him more.

When I entered the house, my nephew immediately took me to the second balcony. I wondered what the mother and son duo was upto. My nephew introduced me to their lab (which was the balcony) and introduced me to the scientist in the lab (who was sis) and introduced him as her assistant.

My sis was ready with a bowl of water, surf, and turmeric. I understood.

She then showed the first experiment to my nephew. How turmeric changed its color and became red in the presence of soapy water. Overwhelmed, my nephew was too excited to see a magic happening in front of his eyes.

His mom in a playful way explained him the reaction. And this is the way they have been learning many things in a playful way.

While, it would be just a “kuch bhi….” for a grownup it sure is a khushi ke pal for a parent and a child where both enjoy the precious moments and even the spectators like me cannot stop but appreciate the bonding moments. Believe me, it was khuljaye bachpan at its best!

They also have litmus paper and magnifying glass in their lab. My nephew these days often describe how certain things look under the magnifying glass.

Surprisingly, my sister could learn from my nephew too – How?

Well, we are a bunch of North Indians and south Indian language is almost like Greek and Latin to us. So, when my sister shifted to Bangalore, she had lot of problems while talking to the local vendors especially those selling vegetables. Neither my sister could understand their language, nor did they understand my sister’s language. They talked in sign languages.

My nephew was admitted in a CBSE school. However, they said, “Kannada” is compulsory up till 8th Std. Now this worried both my sister and my nephew.

However, during the vacations, my nephew started going to a teacher’s place in the same building who taught Kannada language. Being a fast learner to our surprise he could grasp the language very quickly. Not just the basic aa aa ee ee but also some key words used in the daily life. Now he is learning Kannada language both in school as well as his Kannada tuition classes.

Back at home, when he is free he often sits with his home, writes the Kannada alphabets and makes her repeat what he says. In a way, he is teaching her the language Kannada while he himself is learning it in school.

He now knows how to say 1 to 20 in Kannada and he has taught the same to his mom. So, whenever my sister now goes to the local sabzi thella, she bargains using the Kannada term for the numbers.

So, when it comes to Kannada, my sister is a student and my nephew is a teacher. While, my nephew teaches her patiently, my sister too learns enthusiastically and even ask question out of curiosity which he answers sometimes like…..”are baba….” And then explains her in detail. The role reversal pattern followed by my sister is nothing but a part of being a buddy parent. After all, such moments not only give us some memorable moments (khushi ke pal) but also help us to relive our own childhood in a unique way (khul jaye bachchpan)

Another Instance

She is Teaching Him Yoga, While He is Guiding Her With the Mobile Apps, & PC Games

These days my nephew is going to karate classes and so he needs to be fit. Unexpectedly, he asked his mother to teach him yoga so that he becomes proactive in his physical activity. Happy to help my sister is teaching him all the kid yoga poses like Butterfly pose, Child Pose. Prayanama and Kapalbhati is something he has been doing since he was 4!

This one hour yoga session which they do on weekends is truly “Khushi Ke Pal” The reason? Well, the family bond over it. During one such session in my presence in the end my nephew announced let’s end the yoga with the ghoda asan (Horse pose) and there was an great level of excitement on his face.

Next, I saw my sister became a horse and my little nephew was riding his horse around the world (the house). It was indeed a ‘Khuljaye Bachpan’ moment for me.

Few hours later after the lunch, I saw both the mother and son on the couch and my nephew shouting, “mom F1 F1, the arrow keys, no no the “N” button…” and when I came near I saw he was teaching the tricks of playing GTA Vice City.

I couldn’t help but smile after observing the significance of Buddy Parenting. No wonder, it did gave me those “Kushi Ke Pal” to cherish and even a “Khuljaye Bachpan” moment.

Game of Blogs

BlogAdda’s newest initiative is to #CelebrateBlogging with a series of contests, starting with one called a Game of Blogs. Teams of bloggers take turns creating a round robin story of sorts that they post to their individual blogs.
Team: Blogsters

Read the previous part of the story here.

Though it was half past seven in the morning, there had been no sunrise. Only a change over from a dark black to a greyish sky . Jennifer Joseph looked around at the beauty of the countryside – myriad hues of green and brown, divided by the broken farm bunds.

She blew on her hands trying to bring some life to her fingers. Kashmir was colder than she had imagined. She hadn’t been able to sleep the previous night as she had shivered the whole night in the flooded regions of Srinagar – until she was airlifted by the Army. She was safe—but her constant companion, her better half, the Canon EOS Rebel T1i was destroyed forever!

Being a travel photographer, her camera was as much a part of her as one of her limbs. She’d come all the way from God’s own country to God’s heaven to fulfill her dream of capturing heaven with her lenses – but when the floods turned the heaven into hell, she had refrained from clicking the sad scenario.

Her eyes filled with tears as Jennifer envisioned her presence in Kashmir. Fortunately, Jen was only daydreaming while watching the news.

“Thank you Jesus, for saving me,” she said aloud, kissing her right hand that bore a tattoo of a cross engulfed in red flowers and its green leaves. And my camera, she added, feeling only a little guilty as she thought it.

Jennifer looked up as she heard footsteps on the stairs below her. Looked like her hunky neighbour was back.

5 Things That Add Zest In My Life

Life for me, is all about getting up in the morning, doing the routine chores, going to work, coming back home and then sleep. But then there are things that stop this mundane routine and add, that required and much necessary zest in my life. Strange but true, I get all the enthusiasm and energy by these super zesty things that transform my world from dull and boring, to interesting and fun. Not to forget, they even add the much needed pace in my life. Here they are:

1. The Technology

Oh, what my life would have been without the mercy of technology – Absolutely nothing! Every thing from my smart phone to smart watch, kindle, electric cooker, coffee maker and the small machine that checks the level of sugar in my body contributes in my smartness. For instance, just imagine with zero experience in web designing and SEO, what kind of blogger I had been without WordPress? Perhaps I would have not started blogging. Oops!

Besides, had there been no smart phone, I still would need my camera, barcode scanner, and many ancillary things to carry every time I moved from my home to office. It is true without these technology, I would not die and would still survive, but don’t you think it would have been very dull and boring, taking half of my day in doing something which now requires only 5 minutes? Now that even reminds me of NEFT and India’s first 1.2 Litre MPFi Turbocharged petrol engine in Tata Motors Car – Zest and Bolt.

2. The Downfall In My Life

Believe it or not, every time I failed, I was determined to do something better. My failure never became my weakness but my strength to do bigger and better. Like a true realist and optimist, my downfall only increased my potential and doubled my zest. Though I am not much found of failures, but trust me downfall in life often give you that energy and enthusiasm which success isn’t aware of.

So while success attracts many good things, failure actually gives you the path to achieve success. For instance, had Paulo Coelho’s first book, Hell Archives would not not have failed, he would have not given us great books like Alchemist. Perhaps, he would have been just another writer. The failure of his first book gave him immense zest to write much better and so we had the revolutionary Alchemist.

3. The Quest For More

I am never satisfied – I always need more – More Knowledge, More Money, More Technology, Better Life, Better Car, Better Health Equipment for my Parents, so on and so forth. And I think, if something that really adds up the zest in my life is the quest for more, the hunger for perfection and the thrill to look beyond the latest to the next. Oh yes, latest is not new, “NEXT” is!

4. Travel and Adventure

Sitting in my office, working, dreaming about all the good things, trying to achieve all I want – yes, that encourages me, energizes me! In addition, comes the two word – “Travel” and “Adventure”. All you have to utter these two words and see how the eyes roll, the body jumps and the genuine smile races up on the face.

Yes, wandering like a traveler, risking your life for an adventure, planning a trip to an offbeat place, instantly adds zest in my life. All, you need to say is “Deepti, let’s go to GOA” and see how I do a mini bungee jumping from my couch on to the floor, no matter how gloomy I may be few minutes ago, I’ll be giggling thereafter!

5. The Love of My Life – My Boyfriend!

Love is not life, but just a part of your life they say – True! And what if that special part adds value to your life, compliments you, and is the better half of you? Sounds fun? Well, my boyfriend is precisely that special part who adds zest in my life – sometime by his simple gestures, his encouragements and motivation when nothing can beat my negativity, and sometimes simply through his existence!

And yea the funny fights. Strange but some times his “No’s” actually activates my brain to do something, eventually making me realize his “No” was only to make me say “Yes” and try beyond my capacity to achieve things!

11 Reasons Why Zee Zindagi Indiblogger Meet Was An Event to Remember!

Indiblogger meets are always fun and interesting! After all, the moment it is announced, we bloggers start facebook(ing), twitter(ing) and whatsapp(ing) in order to find out who all are coming. Zindagi Indiblogger Meet was no exception. But, the interest level exceeded to another level since we were suppose to meet and interact not just with our blogger friends from Mumbai, but also Delhi along with the director, scriptwriters and the Pakistani actor Imran Abbas from the upcoming channel Zee Zindagi!

Zee Zindagi – Now, doesn’t that name bring a certain type of fresh breathe with it? It surely does! No wonder, Zee Zindagi along with the awesome Indiblogger team made sure we bloggers have a great day and here I tell you how and why –

1. The Theme of the Meet – #JodeyDilonKo

Oh yes, we were invited to a meet where the theme was “Love” and that too across borders. For a change, we were not seen appreciating Sachin and pulling Shahid Afridi down but recollecting olden days of Pakistani serials which we cherished, the mesmerizing songs which all the Pakistani singers have given us and of course showering our rare admiration to our neighboring brothers. No it wasn’t show off, it really came out DilSe because somewhere deep down, we have a soft corner for them when it comes to “Talent”, “Arts”, “Music” and few more things except Cricket.

2. The Awesome Technicians that Connected Mumbai with Delhi & Even Pakistan!

Many of the times I have attended meets, seminars and weddings where I have seen mikes are not working, AV takes time to start, or worst there is a huge sound disturbance. But, here I saw the technicians not just connecting us to the ongoing Delhi Bloggers Meet Live but also the beautiful Sultana (Siddiqui) Appa,  director of Zee Zindag TV‘s first show – Zindagi Gulzar Hai live from Pakistan – Surely deserving a round of applause for a completely flawless job!

3. Mumbai Vs Delhi

If India Vs Pakistan is a war, Mumbai Vs Delhi is no different ball game. This was quite evident in the conversation when the dudes and dudettes of both the cities came out in defense of their respective city. It was quite a funny moment to see how deep both the city representatives went to show “WE ARE THE BEST” especially when Delhities and Mumbaikars started defending their weather. One of the best moments of the meet, the debate made us LOLing and ROFLing when people went out to defend the humidity of Mumbai and even the extreme summers as well as winters of Delhi.

4. The Cool & Poise Behavior of Imran Abbas Even When People Bored him by Asking Political Questions rather than his Experience with the hot babe Bipasha Basu

We have all sort of people everywhere and here too though it was an event of arts, talent and love people brought out “politics” & “war” and that too with an actor who had dubbed till 8 am in the morning. Imran Abbas, our heart went out to you, we at the back tables only wished if the topic changed fast. But, we appreciate, the way you replied! *claps*

5. The One Liners of Anoop Johnson & The Reaction of Nihal Lazarus

Though the entire team of Indiblogger deserves a name here, I have dedicated the slot to Anoop and Nihal for being the excellent host & dost. No one can beat the punches and one liners that Anoop manages to say effortlessly. The best part here in the Zindagi meet was when Anoop wanted Nihal to call upon the winner of the MOTO G and Nihal couldn’t hear what Anoop said and kept on repeating what should I do, To whom should I call. Finally, Anoop said nothing but, “Give him the Moto G, dammit!” 😛 😀

6. Imran Abbas – The Singing Sensation

When nobody asked anything personal to Imran and they kept focusing on “political ties” with India and Pakistan, we, the listeners were rescued by the Zee team when they mentioned Imran Abbas is an awesome singer. Believe me, it was a pleasure to hear that soothing, calming and beautiful voice. No wonder, I was busy searching the video and I got one shared on Youtube by Blogwati Gee. I will share the same video here as well, you see I’m no meany 😀

7. The Audio Visual Display of the Promos of the Upcoming Zee Zindagi Channel

Indiblogger and Zee always make it a point that we bloggers get a first glimpse of channels and shows with a complete insight. Here too, we were shown a lot of promos of upcoming serials whose ads I have still not come across on the channel. Besides, connecting us with the legendary Sultana Siddiqui was another moment to remember which I think we all shall remember and boast for ages now.

To be honest, I wasn’t aware of any of these shows except hearing from my co-blogger friend Fatima. I am glad for a change I got to see the promos of shows like Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Aunn Zaara, Kash Mai Teri Beti Na Hoti and many more!

8. The Table No. 7

Oh well, the tables weren’t really numbered that’s one of my own sobriquet. Anyways our Table No. 7 was interesting in itself. The reason, well we had some of the most intriguing people on the table who had a great sense of humor. Ah yes, we even had our own moments of selfie too.

9. The Thai Chicken & The Rasmalai

As usual I couldn’t focus on the veg section but let me tell you the Thai Chicken served was to die for. Luscious and delicious, almost all the adjectives will be short if I tried to describe it. Again, the flavors of rasmalai and caramel custard was something that I had in my mouth right till the High Tea until I had some more chicken, bhajias, fish finger chips. Now, do I sound like a Bhukkad? Well, at times I feel proud of being one!

10. Anukriti Sharma

It had been long since I met one of my very first blogger friend Anukriti. Here, in the meet I not only enjoyed her presence but even got to meet, talk and dine with her for long hours. Karan Shah, no I won’t miss you here! You, are of course an awesome companion from Vashi to all the destinations 😉 And I appreciate you did not keep me waiting this time. Sud, my sabu you were missed. Then, as usual it was a pleasure to meet and talk the very cheerful Ekta Khetan, and how can I miss the laal tamatar Fatima!

11. Pictures With Imran Abbas & His Autographs

It is always fun to get clicked with a celebrity and post it on social media. We get all the attention in the world, don’t we? And here, we had an opportunity to meet the upcoming star who is not only a tele actor, a great singer but also the future BOLLYWOOD STAR starring opposite Bipasha Basu! Thanks, Indiblogger and Zee Zindagi, we have memories not only itched on our Facebook Wall, Twitter Page and our blogs, but also in our mind and heart ❤ Did I hear correct that someone even sent a love letter to Imran Abbas? :p

Let me play, the #DovePlay style

Celebrities have it, Fashionistas surely have it and even some of my friends have it – How about me? Well, my crowning glory is the same every day, either open or with a pony tail. If only I could trade my boring hair with different hair style for everyday…

Sometimes wavy, Sometimes straight,

Different style to enhance my trait,

Look at my hair, black and brown

Shining of top like an angel’s crown…

Different hair style for each day, aha wouldn’t that be fun? Oh, well, I really want to play with my hair, style it differently and look like that amazing girl with beautiful hair. But, but, but, since my knowledge and information on styling hair is as poor as the quality of my hair, I cannot keep up the style withstanding for more time. Failing to groom my hair, I usually end up doing oooooo, aaaaaa when I see other girls dressing up their hair while I just keep on wondering how do I play with my hair…

Am in love with messy hair styles..You know the mess that makes the hair bumpier, sexier and hot as ever…Whirlwind, energetic and full of life, it not only makes one look confident but even embellishes the overall beauty

Messy Elevated Pony Tail Inspired by Amy WineHouse

Amy Winehouse, the diva along with her melodious voice had a great taste in fashion. From black koel eyes, tattoos to beautiful long hair, the rockstar knew exactly how to adorn herself. While, I appreciated everything in hair something that really flattered me was her hairstyle. She is the one who made messy teased hair appear very beautiful. Surely a hairstyle larger than life, I wish to play my hair into a mess so that I get a hairstyle inspired by the rockstar. I actually tried doing it with all that I had, but never did I come up with such a style

Buns Are Fun Especially the Messy Bun

Indians are in love with buns, easy way of carrying the hair with all the glory as well as fun. While, many would want a plain, neat and well tied up bun, I am in love with messy bun. Something like the below picture:

I would say is I want a messy bun just the way the above pic is and the below line illustrates

Jo bane mere baalo ka shaan

swavare jo ulajthe baal,

thoda theda, halka sa bhikra,

aisa ho mera juda, mere bhikre baalon ka shaan…

Side Messy Braid, Oh Somebody Help Me to Get it Laid…

Braids look beautiful especially when it is swept towards a side. It emerges gracefully while you sit, walk or even have a talk. Oh, I try to play with my hair, still getting the braids is something beyond my capacity. Well, I surely need confidence to do as I cannot manage doing it, neither I am aware which direction should I twist and twirl. Maybe I need to experiment with my hair, go beyond trying..Aha, perhaps just like the girl in the #DovePlay video. “Utho Aina Dekho, Bohut Khubsurat Ho Tum…” Aha, that is inspirational for a plane jane like me to twist, twirl and bounce the hair….

Messy and Twisted Pony

twisted pony

Twist it here, and turn it there, roll a bit round and that’s the hair style newly found…I would love to play with my hair and make it messy so messy that it looks hot, sexy and wild…

Inspired by the #DovePlay Video, I think I too can play with my here and come up with my own version of such beautiful hairstyle which can make me a celebrity in my own way…

Chalo, then Let me play, the #DovePlay style

Inki Condition Serious Hai: The 5 Seriously Serious Cases..

Last night, I was about to get a good night sleep after drinking some  win…..e…..oh I mean some win..e..ter coffee (This one is for my relatives ;)). However, no sooner I was ready to doze off than I got a call from my maternal aunty’s sister’s daughter, oh yes my maami’s sister’s daughter roughly a year younger to me.

2.01 am – Thuddd Thuddd went my cell phone in the vibration mode…

Me: Hey Megha, wassup…

She: Hello D (Well, she called me by my nickname so let’s just call D here)

Me: Looks like you are partying hard tonight, till 2.00 am…Man, after marriage you seem to be rolling….How’s Amar?

She: Sobbing in low voices she slowly started howling loudly….

Me: What happened, are you okay?

She: No, Amar just met with an accident and he is no more…

Hardly a year of marriage and a girl so young…My mind started wandering….and then the line disconnected….

Thuddd Thuddd and the phone vibrated again…

Me: Hey Megha, I’m sorry to hear……rrrr…..that…

She: Nothing yaar, it is just that I had to do this…

Me: You had to do this, What do you mean you had to do this? Do you mean you murdered Amar?

She: You mad-a-what? It’s just that the crow had stroked my head with its beak and so I had to pass a message of this false death so that there is no death in my family as per the superstitions.

Me: WTF……Is he alive?

She: Oh yes, yes he is..I’m sorry I had to do this…

Me: #Condition Serious Hai Teri….Doctor Ko Dikhana Padega

She: Kyu Kya Hua Mujhe Darra Mat…

Megha comes under the category of people who are confused and believes in living their life by the stupid rituals that have been laid by some stupid people. To be precise she belongs to the “darr darr ke jeene wale log” just like Sharman Joshi of 3 idiots. This people are very dangerous to the society because they themselves are not just serious, but try to pass this contagious disease at a rate faster than that of virus. Phew!

This was Case 1

Case 2

Megha ka toh condition serious hai….Aur kaun serious hai? Well, other than Megha, there are people who take social networking sites too seriously. For instance you post something in a light mood and these people are ready to blast you left and right…

For instance, look at this meme shared in a page

The third female comments – “The guy was freezing to death and they decided to make a meme out of it. WTF is wrong with this generation..”

Now, no one urges females to come and like a page called Funny Jokes, Quotes and Pictures and when they do, what they expect?

Liking a Humorous page and commenting like a saint – Such people’s condition is terribly serious. In other words, these are the casualty patients who are in urgent need of 5 Star Doses. And since we find such breeds in high number especially on Facebook, how about a smiley of 5 Star to decrease the Blood Pressure of these serious people…

Case 3

In Case 2 we saw the sensitive lots in the social media circle. In Case 3 we have the thinking lots. Check the below image –

FACEBOOK_DNow did you see the second comment? Makes me wonder, if only the bloke or the girl used his/her intellectual and pro-active mind in something more productive…Well,,,,,,,

Case 4

These are those serious people who take their social networking life so serious that they tend to put everything on it…From how hard their exam paper was, to why did the lady they met while traveling wasn’t talking to her husband. Then thinking, “Did they elope” and when they post such status their equivalents reply without various alternatives that are running in their mind. The usual probablities…

Aha, now the last but certainly not the least……

Case 5

Yellow Journalism

“Wife humiliates and beats up husband on Valentine’s Day”
“44 year old stone foetus found inside women aged 86”
“Shocking – Women forced to give birth during her Class 12 exams”

Have you ever come across such headlines in newspapers and Digital Magazines? Don’t you think yellow journalism have a sick yellow fever of seriousness. Well, time to give them a dose of Cadbury’s Five Star to evaporate the rate of seriousness in their body…

The above 5 cases indeed proves that Seriousness is the serious disease and there is only one treatment or rather vaccine to it – A Sweet Chill Pill that evaporates their seriousness within themselves in few seconds

Humor in life is just like oxygen in water, it keeps us healthy and live. However, in spite of this fact, there are a section of people who are always looking for problems even in funny things and humorous quotes. They are the ones who always want to be in pressure, tension and increase their BP no matter how smoothly things are going on. These kinds of people are quite dangerous as inki CONDITION SERIOUS HAI..isliye inko chahiye Cadbury ka 5 Star

This post is written for Indiblogger and Cadbury’s Condition Serious Hai Contest.

Vision 2020: The India of My Dreams

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high,

Where knowledge is free,

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls,

Where words come out from the depth of truth,

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection,

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit,

Where the mind is led forward by Thee into ever-widening thought and action,

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”

Rabindra Nath Tagore prior to our Independence had penned down these lines articulating his thoughts for a free India. India then became a free nation and even achieved all these basic parameters led by the great Bengali poet. However, after six decades of independence, the same lines somehow look unaccomplished to a contemporary mind. The inspiring words yet again motivate us to bring about radical change in India. My Vision 2020 for India is decoding these lines all over again by transforming these rhetoric lines into action.

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held highA Prosperous Nation encompassing Peace, National Security and Unity

Riots, gender discrimination, sexual harassment – Can a nation ever prosper with these vices? Never! So, eliminating all this vulnerability is very necessary in order to tread in the path of progress and development. Secondly, any country can only develop if the people at the grass root level rises. This makes it apparent that equal opportunities with adequate facilities for the bottom of the pyramid should be a motto to make India shine brightly.

Where knowledge is free – 100% Literacy and Jobs

A developing country can never become a developed nation if its people remain illiterate and are deprived from basic education. My Vision 2020 includes free education for sustainable livelihood to all the Indians so that they have a better life along with a better ‘power of purchase’. No more poverty and hunger being a hindrance in India’s path to success.

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls – Liberalization changing India’s face at the global level

No more country boundaries, trade barriers should ever confine Indians from achieving the best. The spirit of globalization transcending the face of India in terms of prosperity, and India reaching its full potential is what I see India in the year 2020.

Where words come out from the depth of truth, Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection – Good Governance along with commercial success

Dynamic and far-sighted leadership through transparency, proper administration and continuous growth can maximize the economic development of India. Maximum utilization of technology, skills and resources can drive the nation swiftly. Also, important parameters like health facilities including vaccination, immunization, child nutritional programme and sanitation can make us a far better nation state.

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit – Progress through adequate technology and infrastructure by neglecting obsolete ideas

India from ages has been behind in various fields due to certain customs. However, our nation can move way beyond only if these hurdles are set aside and radical thinking is practiced. Radical thought is what should conquer in every Indian’s mind to envision a bright future for the country.

The India of my dreams is educated, advanced, liberal and prosperous. I envision Indians not only unified within but also closely attached with the global world, indeed implementing our Sanskrit phrase – “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” with proud and honour.
